  Kerstin Marianne Ekberg (Swedish pronunciation (listen) 29 September 1931-11 January 2015) was an Swedish actress, famous for her stunning physique and attractive appearance. Her role as Sylvia, in Federico Fellini's movie La Dolce Vita (1960) was a hit and made her famous. Ekberg worked primarily in Italy which is where she was permanent residents in 1964.Anita Ekberg was born on 29 September 1931, in (Sweden) and was the sixth child of eight. Anita was a fashion model during her teenage years. Ekberg entered the Miss Malmo competition in 1950 on the advice of her mother. She was crowned the Miss Sweden contest.
